First of all, child labor means children working long hard hours doing work that adults do, not like chores or anything. It happened throughout history in many different countries especially in foreign ones like China but I am here to discuss child labor in America. Child labor was always apparent during the time of slavery, but other kids (white kids) really started to work when the Industrial Revolution came about. Kids worked grueling hours in large factories with polluted air and little space. Most of them did work in factories, few that I know of did not. People then were against it and people now are too. I personally believe that it was very wrong and it deprived kids of their needs. In current times it is banned in this country and it is good that it is!

Is there child labor today? If so, where and what are the conditions they work in. I rememeber seeing on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, a story about children be sold like indentured servants by there parents in countries. In this story they made soccer balls that we buy here in the United States.
