Child Labor In America

Child labor is when a child over at least five is working in a REAL FACTORY to make money for their family who may need money for basic needs (Food, clothing, shelter, etc.) or who is stuggling with the economy. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, many children got hurt in a way you wouldn't think possible today, jobs. It took place during the great Industrial Revolution, people were beginning to run TEXTILE (materials for clothing) farms, the children's fingers were perfect for fixing the strings and other cloth substances when there was a problem. But, many children were injured loosing some of their body parts!! The conditions were absoulutely terrible and it they only made about THREE CENTS A WEEK. I for one think Child Labor is absolutely ridiculous and don't approve of it at all. To sum it all up, child labor was a horrible and dark period for many, many children.
