Child Labor in America
Child Labor progressed in the late 1800's. It was extremely dangerous and children worked long painful hours. The reason why children worked in factories is because, when everyone was living in poverty, everyone (including children) had to "pull their weight". Also, some families didn't have enough money to support their loved ones. So, children got payed 30 cents a week to work and support their families. In my perspective, I think that child labor is a terrible idea. This is because, many children lost lives, fingers, and sometimes arms. Also they worked 12 to 18 hours a day!! It was extremely awful.
